Four stitched slots in heavy waxed canvas, with two leather ties. It is what we pack the set in, sold on its own for people who already have knives and no safe way to carry them.

The wax is what keeps it from soaking up water; it also means the canvas will crease and mark, and after a year it will look used rather than new. We think that is the right trade for a working bag.

What it is not good at

Protecting an edge from another knife. The slots keep the blades apart but they are fabric, not sheaths — a knife that slides out sideways will still meet its neighbour. It is not waterproof, only water-resistant, and it is not a knife block: stored rolled, a damp knife will stay damp.

Care

Brush it out, spot clean with cold water and nothing else. Never machine wash — it strips the wax. Full details on Care & Sharpening.
